In Cannon Defenses, players face endless waves of enemies, tanks, and bosses that advance toward the bottom of the screen. Your goal is to build a defensive line using cannons, strategically placing them to stop all threats before they cross the line. The core mechanic involves merging cannons of the same color by dragging one onto another, progressing through eight distinct tiers of upgrades. Starting with basic turrets, you can combine them into increasingly powerful weapons, such as the Rapid Fire Purple Blaster and the ultimate Emerald Nuke. Each tier offers enhanced firepower and range, turning simple cannons into devastating weapons to defend your position.
